Dr. Esther Caballero-

Manrique, MD, Ph.D.

Dr. Esther Caballero-Manrique is an Anesthesiologist and certified pain medicine physician who brings her knowledge and advanced skill set to Interventional Spine of Vermont. Dr. C-M’s notable diagnostic and pain management skills provide patient-centered pain solutions including epidural steroid injection, joint injection, radiofrequency ablation, platelet-rich plasma, ultra-sound guided injection therapies.

Dr. Caballero is board-certified in two specialties – Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. After her training in Anesthesiology at the University of Vermont and sub-specialization in pain medicine, she practiced at UVM Medical Center as an attending Anesthesiologist and pain specialist until she co-founded Interventional Spine of Vermont. She is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiology and serves as a presenter and reviewer to the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and pain medicine. Dr. C-M stays up-to-date with all the latest developments and research in pain medicine and is periodically adding new treatment options to her repertoire.

 
 

Timothy Balise, PA-C

Tim is a Physician Assistant with over eight years’ experience in Orthopedic and Spinal medicine. Before joining ISV, Tim was a member of the Northwestern Medical Center Orthopedics program, where, in addition to performing injections, he worked closely with patients and physicians both in and out of the operating room. He has attended additional training focused on spinal injections offered by the National Association of Spine Specialists and is an active member of that society. Tim’s comprehensive experience has provided him with a robust skillset to thoroughly evaluate patients, interpret imaging, and develop and execute treatment plans.

He is an accomplished lacrosse player, recognized as a USILA Scholar All-American, ESPN All-American First team, and the Scholar Athlete of the year while at the University of Massachusetts. When not seeing patients, Tim likes to spend his time outdoors snowboarding, hiking, and paddle boarding with his dog.
